Set work in a minute. Watch it come back.
Drop in the files, pick a folder, pick a due date. Your students get it straight away, and you can see who has done it without asking.
30 days free, no card needed. Then £19.99 a month.
Three steps, then it is with your students
No template to fill in and no email to write. Setting work should take less time than explaining it.
Add the files
Drag in the worksheet, the past paper, the reading. PDFs, images, documents, slides and spreadsheets all work, up to 100MB each.
Pick a folder and a due date
Homework, Past Papers, whatever you call your folders. Choose when it is due and whether it gets a grade.
Your students see it
It lands in their class and in their Due next list. They open it, do the work and hand it in from a laptop or a phone.
Know who has done it before the lesson starts
Open an assignment and the whole class is there in one list. No scrolling back through a group chat to work out who sent what.
- Not started, working, submitted or graded, for every student
- Missing work stands out in red once the due date passes
- The time each piece of work was handed in
- A count of what is still waiting to be marked
Students always know what is next
Every student gets one list of what is due, across all their classes, in date order. The question “what was the homework?” goes away.
- Due dates shown on every assignment
- A clear tick once work has been submitted
- They are told when a grade has been released
The details tutors ask for
Homework, classwork or test
Label each piece of work so you and your students can tell a quick practice set from a timed paper.
Hide it until you are ready
Keep an assignment hidden while you prepare it, lock it so students can see it but not start, or make it visible.
Graded or not, your choice
Some work needs a mark and some just needs doing. Switch grading on or off for each assignment.
Overdue at a glance
See which students missed a deadline and mark the work as not submitted in one go.
Big files are fine
Scanned papers and photo-heavy worksheets go up without fuss. Each file can be up to 100MB.
Handed in from a phone
Students do not need to install anything. They can submit from the browser on whatever they have with them.
Questions
Not answered here? Get in touch and a person will reply.
What kind of files can I attach?
PDFs, images, documents, presentations, spreadsheets and more, up to 100MB per file. Students send their work back the same way.
Can I set work for one student instead of a whole class?
Yes. Each student or group gets its own class in Clasly, so 1 to 1 students have a class of their own and work you set there is only for them.
Do students need an account?
Yes, and it is free. They join your class with a code, a link or a QR code, and you can also create student accounts yourself.
What happens when a due date passes?
Anyone who has not handed the work in shows as missing, so you can see it straight away and follow up.
Does every assignment need a grade?
No. You decide for each assignment whether it is graded. Ungraded work can still be collected and commented on.
